Mine's a simple DR al plate & Travel wing....

How is the wing attached to the plate ?

Does it qualify as an Halcyon if the inflator hose was changed by one that doesn't make you feel like you are asking for something when you want to deflate the wing?

This is 11 ~ 12 years old, still working great, only problem I had was with the inflatable mat I keep in. Don't remember what was the actual issue but they exchanged it for a new one within a year or two from the purchase. Wonder if their customer service is as good as it was back then, I've heard otherwise but fortunately haven't had the need to test it.

Finally a H that has some usage on it lol! The rest look like they came fresh from the shop without a drop of water on them :eyebrow:.

With two cambands threaded through the slots on the BP and wing.
(Note that the wings are attached to a tank in this picture)

Does the wing move around or does the tightness of the cam strap to the tank keep it in place ?

My travel wing does not really have cam band "slots". It has a single narrow piece of vertical webbing. The wing is held in place on my Transpac between the cambands and the horizontal webbing on the back of the soft plate.

For single tanks I use DSS LCD 30 & DSS BP, hog harness. For doubles, Apeks WTX40 & the same DSS BP, hog harness. Simple & effective. :D

Guess you can see it here.

edit: sorry. It is an Oxy Mach V. Very narrow and low profile. Really can't see it.

Edit again: If you go to full screen you can see the wing about 25 sec. in.

They gotta be brand new sometimes. Unless perhaps Big H can make a unit that comes pre-faded for that salty look.:idk:

Yes, tightness of the cam bands keep it in place.
As I recall, the travel wings should have grommets in their vertical midline webbing.
If you want the wing fixed to your BP, you could always use a set of assembly bolts (sex bolts).

That's what Levi's did and it made them a fortune.

I have the older style travel wing. No grommets. I think I will try it out and then maybe buy a new DSS or Oxycheq wing if the travel wing moves around too much.
