In the pool I noticed that my ears were equalizing fine - but sometimes all the air was not leaving my outer ear canal. It is better to tilt my head from side to side and get all the air out, or does it not really matter? Also - how much work it is to equalize on the way up? The Valsalva...

When cleaning my regs, I know that it's ok to soak the second stages and then rinse them out - is it ok/advisable to press the purge button under running water or underwater in the tub, with the system depressurized? I don't want to get water in the first stage.

I didn't really mean "take me diving," but if you and some buddies have a weekend dive planned I'd love to tag along. I'm very serious and conservative about safety.

I agree about wanting the warranty - also my LDS provides free rebuild parts such as o-rings when they service the gear. Also I bought new because I prefer to know the maintenance and use history of my life support system!
