Ditto - we just did this a few weeks ago and no problems. I think on our last dive I had to grab an air tank (I use the smaller ones) but it was our last dive, shallow reef - no big deal.
We ditched the "dive resort" scene this last trip for Hotel Roomer (the old Great Escape). Small, well run place - comfortable, great location - Buddy Dive satellite right across the street. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat!
The "Our Confidence" wreck isnt much to look at - however at about 50-60 feet there's alot of rubble loaded with yellow headed jawfish. Found one there with eggs. Pointed him out to my 2 camera toting buddies and the bugger wouldnt come back out. If you're into stuff like that, check it out!
Weather.com showed rain every day when we were there in August as well - I'm happy to report we only had one cloudy day (due to Flossie) and the water was flat calm the entire week!
Have a great time!
hey Jen - the Cayman Aggressor. All the advice here is great! I do have a tendency to be cold - I have a chammy type pullover (I think I got it from Patagonia) that will probably be a staple of my wardrobe. Sweats are a MUST!!! The clothes pins idea is a great one. Funny I dont have any -...
looks like Dive Dominica and castle comfort have some good winter deals. Anyone ever stay at Castle Comfort? I hear the location is great for diving but the food is OK.
any comments or suggestions welcome.
Hi! My name is Clare and I first joined Scubaboard a couple years ago when I began diving. Well... its been a while and now I'm looking to start training for more technical diving. Thought this was a great place to seek advice in the past so I'm back!
I've been diving now for a couple of years and recently have gotten into local diving (wreck) in NJ. I'm pretty good with the broken up wrecks, running a line but have little to no experience in wreck penetration.
Any suggestions on who, what, where etc... to get training? What would be...
We booked a condo for two weeks in Kona (I apologize for not remembering the name) - It did not have AC but was right on the water and had ceiling fans. This was MORE than enough to stay comfortable.
Never really thought about needing heat on the BI - unless of course you are at elevation!
