Gosh, this is a weirdly varied thread. And to add to that:

Did you know that rum is the most widely varied of all liquors? That's because aging can last between one and 30 years, quite a span, and colors range from very dark through golden to clear.

I sometimes think that if I win the lottery, I'll wake up with an appreciation for fine Scotch, and the ability to play golf well. But then I think about wearing plaid pants, and have another tequila to chase away that image.
