I dive WPB when I am over in Florida, we stay in Polk county area and drive down to WPB, approx 3hrs, if we are doing two days diving we usually just book a cheap motel for one night.
Have dived with Jim Abernethy all the times we have been over so another shout for him, well organised crew

All great recommendations above, just wanted to add that .......

June is the best kept secret for diving on the Florida S.E. coast. It is consisently glass flat, clear and with water temps at 78 - 80, the fish life moving into the 75 foot deep reefs is more colorful and packed than at any other time of year. June is better than any other month of the year for fantastic time to go diving in S.E. Florida.

Thanks so much! You Florida SBers are the best! You know how to make an outsider feel welcome. Luckily, I would be diving during the week so that should help with the crowding.
