Ski companies and backpacking gear companies often give out the little zipper pul thermometers for free at shows and conventions. If I had been thinking about it, I could have grabbed a handful at the FWSA convention on Saturday.

If anyone tests the zipper pull style to 100 feet, please report the results.

Of course it's Dir compliant. I wrap it around my neck then use surgical tubing to stop the excess from dangling.
And to think, I take your advice when buying my scuba gear! What was I thinking!?!?!?
:D :D :D :D

Back to the original topic . . . check out the thermometer in this listing - looks about the same as the 'Aquarius' thermometer I got in a pre-owned set of equipment.

I even found a link via Google for it - says depth tested to 200 feet, for < $7!

And, Larry, I worry about you - the shrinkage with the long hose wrapped around your neck with it clipped off would induce constriction around your neck and you might asphixiate! Better make sure you have a cutting tool like heavy duty snips handy . . .
