If the OP is trying to copy a compresses DVD (legally of course), they will need to use something like DVD Shrink to compress the data before it is written. If it is simply writing home movies or data then I agree with Nero. It is very simple to use.

Nero isn't free, but it is the best DVD/CD burning software out there, bar none.
