Natasha--

You have peaked my curiosity with the sewing kit. Is there a story?

But much more importantly, do tell, what kind of candy?

I am looking for a good mouth desalinator in individual wrappings. So far Dee's Jolly Rancher's have made the cut, as well as something called "Cream Savers", but I would like to find something which is more sour than sugary.

My drybag:
-sunglasses
-powerbar(s)
-mini firstaid kit with
latex gloves
"feminine protection"
bandaids
Tylenol
eardrops
mini otoscope
sea sick stuff--pills and injection
decongestant
asthma stuff
strong pain stuff
nitroglycerin
antibiotic cream
steroid cream
epinephrine
-spray bottle of vinegar
-reef life ID book

I gave up on the towel for all but night dives, and after losing a favorite hat to the big drink, gave up on that too.

And, outside of the tropics, I almost always bring a jacket/dive parka. Even in Florida. Even in the summer. I learned that one the hard way!

Have a great trip!

most was pretty well covered already, but if you like coffee bring some. We went to Bonaire , whew that coffee was strong. So strong that I only drank oj for most of the week. It was our first trip, lesson learned!

You have my curiosity now, is there a reason for all the medical material in your kit? It looks like an allergy kit but the Nitro has me confused.

Most of my boat is a local variety on the finger lakes so water, towel, and save a dive kit in dry box as well as a piece of fruit or energy bar.

Saltines

A permanent marker to write the dive number or site on my rolls of film (transfer the #/site to the envelope when you take them to be developed and you know EXACTLY where that photo was taken).

A few ziploc baggies of varying sizes, lots of uses for these.

A good book to read or a journal so I can write my own "tale of the trip."

Small colored pencils and a sharpener for drawing the sites during dive briefings; they're also good if you want to illustrate your dive description.

Here is our pre-trip checklist.
Pick & choose...

That my man is a list, going to print that sucker so as the wife won't forget anything :)

Wow, Rick! I'm going to print that off also. I'm alway's reinventing the wheel when I go on a trip. Now I'll just use yours every time.

Rick did I go blind half way thought the list or did you forget the Very most important thing of all. $$$$$$$

OOps I see it 6 from the bottom. Must of blacked out for a while.
How about glasses?
Got them to. The man is a master list maker. I bow to thee.

Like Rick, I carry:
Fin/Mask straps
“O” rings
Bulbs/batteries
Dust cap/port plugs
Mouthpiece/cable ties
Pliers/Crescent wrench
Diver’s tool
Pocket knife
PLUS:
baby shampoo
tums
aspirin
bandaids
WATER!!!
IV tubing
hat
sunglasses (and hardshell case)
rainjacket (that folds into itself)

I keep a photocopy of my C-card and insurance card in my logbook. Just in case you should forget to put it in your wallet (with the credit cards, of course!) you will have it. You would not want to miss out because you didn't have the card -- I saw this happen to a couple on a boat out of Ventura, and I don't know if their marriage survived.
