You can reach the Sea Echo at 954-776-5803. It's right across the street from a nice access point for shore diving (aka Marvel's Side Yard). Tell Betty that you're another lunatic diver coming to town and she'll treat you right. I'll be there from July 1st-9th, but it sound like you're coming earlier.

I whole heartedly agree with Marvel about dive ops...she picked the best...and at LBTS you are right in the middle. Plus, you are walking distance from some decent bars and restaraunts.

Sorry for a partial hijack. I just called Sea Echo to check to see if they had anything while I'll be down there. Apparently Betty is not in, so I'm supposed to call back tomorrow. Can anyone tell me what the property is like? I don't need luxury, but are the rooms hotel rooms or are they efficiency/1 bedroom apartments with a kitchen? And does anyone have a ballpark range on room rates? I'll be down there June 8-18th and I'm looking to spend 5 or 6 of those days diving in either the FLL area or the keys.

They are apartment/efficiency types. The rooms are extremely clean and well maintained. The rates really depend on what size room you wind up with, but they are extremely reasonable. Betty does a lot of business with divers, and she doesn't mind at all if you have gear spread out all over the place drying, etc.
