I was in the same situation last year when I was about to buy BP wing. I also had 3 pounds weight when using jacket BCD. I dive in warm water with 3mm suit. With good advise from Tobin and comments from this board, I ended up buying DSS ss plate with 17 lbs wing. With this setup, I don't need any additional weight. I am very satisfied with this setup.
