Keep the hose in an opaque container when not in use.
:mean:

At work we keep ours in a dark blue dive bag.
It is rigged to be used with either a surface compressor or a tank with a first stage. This way I can slip into a narrow pipe with a minimum amount of gear on, and we don't need a noisy engine unless the job takes hours.
