Question Independent diving in Busselton WA

I get a bit uncomfortable on the surface in areas where the rare shark bite happens, and tend to stay inside the wave break when swimming or bogie boarding.
But when in potentially sharky water on scuba the feeling is caution vs discomfort....I saw bulls and tigers underwater when I lived in the Philippines. Also blacktips, threshers, and a couple others that don't seem scary.

Hawaii and southern Maldives, in Monterey, home of plenty G W’s, we don’t get viz good enough to see them

I'll be back up in Perth in mid Feb. I'm keen to get back in the water, and happy to meet up if we can make it work. I've been nursing a blocked Eustachian tube for a couple of months but it's clearing nicely now.
