Question Mares BC nylon poor quality?

I had a Mares wing tear earlier this year within two months of purchasing, on my sixth dive with it. Happened when inflating on the surface at the end of the dive.

Yeah poor quality unsealed fabric sewing too close to the edge without overlocking or binding

That is really crap, no excuse

My wife's Mares Kaila SLS BCD has about 275 dives over 4 or 5 years without any visual tears or damage.

Yeah, +1 on the Kaila. We've had one in the dive closet for 12+ years and its still good as new.

Scary that this seems to be more an issue with Mares' tech style gear.
