In 32 yrs spearfishing I've never used one and I'll never use one in any gun, just plain junk.
Use only a line or no line at all, I just prefer lines and not loose a shaft.
The split-ring gives away the quality of that crap.
There's a reason why you don't see any coiled crap on tournaments.
