Both operators you mention come with my recommendations. Air Diving Academy (ADA) is run by Robin, an Australian guy, who will be very pleased to make your dives as safe as possible, in small personal groups. D Scuba Club is co-owned by David, an Indonesian and he has a strong local team behind him. Erwin will probably answer all your email questions, and is very knowledgable.

Have you considered diving Nusa Penida whilst you are staying at CandiDasa? Most DC's run speed boats out to this area too.

As you are still quite a novice diver, I think you are being very sensible by taking your Advanced course during your time in Bali; Bali diving can be challenging, with strong currents, which can catch out unsuspecting divers (even experienced ones), so, if you are planning to try to see Mola Mola, choose a dive centre that can keep groups smaller, with a ratio of no more than 4:1 with the dive guide/dive master, listen closely to your dive briefings, and stay close to your guide. It may be an idea during your Advanced course, to be shown how to use and deploy an dSMB, and make sure that you carry one on your Nusa Penida/Mola Mola dives.

FYI Mola Mola are being seen regularly at the dive sites close to CandiDasa; Gili Tepekong and Gili Mimpang, Bias Tugel and the Ferry Channel.

Are you taking the SSI Advanced Open Water course, or the SSI Advanced Adventurer course?
