Last time that I was in that area I dove a 3mil shorty. It was perfect, I was doing mostly wrecks so it was nice for the protection.

On August 3rd I did two dives in West Palm Beach. One down at around 90 feet, the other at about 50 feet. There was quite a temperature difference. Computer read 77 degrees on the 90 ft dive and 83 degrees on the 50 ft dive.

Being a Floridian, the difference between 77 and 83 to me is the difference between my 3 mm and a dive skin.

I drove off of Fort Lauderdale back in Jan. I was in a 3mm and it was right between just right and a little warm for me. Think something thinner would better for the summer.
