New to diving. BPW suggestions??

you're better off with those farmer johns on craigslist. You should fit those sizes, and yes, drysuits are around $1500 for the cheaper decent ones, but if you are regularly diving in sub 70F water especially if you're doing repetitive dives, they are a much better investment than spending $400 on a wetsuit
 
I tend to go with a 7mm plus a hood. This way I can wear just the 7mm or I can wear it with a hood. A lot of the guys I used to dive with used to like to go to the St. Lawrence in August because the water gets up to 75F. A little too warm to dive a 7mm with a hood. So I'd dive that without my hood and it was really nice. If the hood is attached you can pull it down around your neck but if the face hole is too small it can be a little uncomfortable.
