REEF Founder Paul Human has passed.

RIP, Paul. One of a kind. One of the giants.
From another press release:
"In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul’s honor may be directed to REEF Reef Environmental Education Foundation (www.reef.org). A celebration of life will be scheduled in the near future."

RIP Paul.

I was on a liveaboard dive trip with Paul in the Galapagos for 14 days in 1994. Awesome diver and photographer. I remember we both used an Oceanic Hydro-35 camera housing! M

A true icon of the industry. He truly had a passion for the underwater world and was more than willing to share his knowledge and experience. Condolences to those closest.

A legend has passed.
I have some of his ID books on the shelf.

RIP -- and condolences to both his family and many friends.

His exhaustive Reef Fish Identification guides to the Pacific, Atlantic and Caribbean waters have long been on my bookshelf -- and long will be . . .

RIP, Paul!

I have 4 of his books. They are my reef fish & reef creature “bibles”.

This is a sad day in diving. He is the creator of one of the best works in marine life id publications for the "regular" diver. Met him many times during DEMA in the past.
