ya it was amazing diving overall. ya it was all walk-ins which i didnt mind but i had to do more research for roads and access points. I also had to knock on doors and talk to home owners to make sure it was ok for me to enter the river from their property, but thats a whole other story. the viz and current wasnt bad, but i am use to NJ diving. Next time I would love to rent a boat or get a kayak. that would have made things a lot easier and it would have extended where i could have dove. here are a few pics of what i found. the jaw with 4 teeth i have no idea what it was from but its some type of omnivore because they have both types of teeth.... anyone have any ideas?

My name is Michael. My wife and I live in Gilbert, SC. We started diving last year. We trained in Lake Murray near Columbia with Wateree Dive Center. Our first trip was Turks and Caicos with Flamingo Divers in Provencialias. We did 10 dives and just fell in love with it. We just got back from Abaco, Bahamas where we dove with Keith at Dive Abaco. We are thinking about doing some dives with Coastal Scuba this summer out of NMB, SC. Hopefully we are going somewhere this summer for a week trip.

Hey Michael -

I'm a bit closer to Augusta, so I dive locally in Lake Thurmond (AKA Clarks Hill). I have used Scuba Express in Murrells Inlet for the coast dives - they run a first class operation. I have not used Coastal, but have been in their shop a few times.

We enjoy warm water diving in the Keys - great diving, easy to drive to, and no TSA to mess with.

I've picked up a few pieces of gear from Wateree - nice folks. Do you make any of their meetings?

My name is Jeremy. I live in the Taylors/ Travelers Rest area. I dive year 'round at Lake Jocassee. I am training to be a Dive Master for Bermuda Triangle.

Hi everyone, I'm Adam I live in the Greenville area and dive lake jocassie mostly. I joined this site a while ago but havent been on (got busy haha) so I thought I'd re-introduce myself. I have a trip with family to the Dominican republic coming up soon so that's my next diveing adventure.

Also here at home I'm effectively buddyless and would love to hook up with some people who dive the ramp ( as it's cheaper than having to pay for spots on the charter boats all the time) to help build up some more experience( after it warms up a tad maybe) cuz you can never have enough.

Welcome to the Board Diverdown 92, MBChiro and other SC divers. I'm from SC (Lexington)but now live in Evans Ga (near Augusta). We do most of our diving at Lake thurmond (E. dam) and the Savannah river. Both are good dives. At the lake we have a plane to dive on (Mitsubishi MU2) and a couple of rock/clay "walls". The river offers a variety of sites with a bit of history.
