As you can probably see from the responses, there are A LOT of videos on YouTube that illustrate the various basic skills.are any videos online that I can watch while I am at work so I can refresh and recall what I did in the pool and out of the pool ?
Another / additional resource is a series of videos produced by Coconut Tree Divers for Divemaster candidates, which also show OW Diver students what is expected. The link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJKCH1ugMpI&list=PL2F7896605274DDFF.
Jim mentioned the 5thDX series, which is excellent. Go to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYOgoVaD_z4&list=PL3n9o8C7OZOug-H9hZM96PM6e1OKKqj8B. I assign my OW students a list of videos to watch before we get in the pool for the first time, among them the 5thDX series. One note of comparison - the background music on the 5thDX series is MUCH more tolerable than the music on the Coconut Tree Divers series. Don't be put off by the narration which suggests that this series is intended for technical divers. These basic skills can be learned at the OW level, and, if that is done, the diver will be much better off as they progress.
