As I understand it what is controlled in Mexico very closely is straight, unadulterated Sudafed/Psuedoephenephrine. If it's combined with Tylenol, antihistamines, etc. it can't as easily be used in a meth lab and doesn't raise the same sort of concerns as the pure stuff.

I always have the straight psuedophedrine (little red pills) with me and as long as you only have a reasonable amount for personal use then it's not a problem. If you are going for a week and have 5 boxes, that may raise some eyebrows.

Not sure if it's country wide, but I know that in several states they've taken anything with psuedophedrine off the shelf and you have to ask for it at the pharmacy of service counter. They also limit the amount you can purchase and you have to be over 18.

Unless your meds are a controlled substance or a narcotic, there isn't any issue with having them with you. Again, as long as you don't have more then what would be reasonable for the time you are there. For controlled substances you should have a copy of the perscription with you, not just the bottle with pharmacy label.

They've never had issue with my allergy or migrane meds that have been in small pill holders. I also carry 2 epi-pens and have not had a problem.

From tripso.com "12 Wellness Tips for the Road"

1. Take full bottles of prescription and over-the-counter medications. What happens when you are fumbling in the dark and half of your medicine goes down the drain?

2. Keep your medicine with you at all times. Do not check them in your luggage and do not leave them out in the open in your hotel room.

3. Take paper prescriptions with you. Drugs are commonly stolen and if you need to replace them, you will need a prescription. Beware that not all American drugs are readily available outside the country. Conversely, you may be able to purchase some prescription drugs over the counter in some nations.

4. If you need to purchase drugs outside the United States, they may not be the same quality — there is no FDA in Myanmar.

Usually harder to bring back prescriptions than taking them out of country.
I pack my pill case in my caryon plus cary the bottles in my checkon. Aggree on taking more than you need incase delays in returning or lost/misplaced. Never had a issue going to Cozumel.

That is the least of what they would like to do, the way he exposes the media and "others" like he does

hope you keep your wife amused.

I don't label anything.

I don't claim anything.

I just got in trouble for smuggling a lemon in my suitcase. They saw it somehow.

Yeah, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy...

BTW, the news today is that they are letting him off the hook for that one.
