Geez, with all the government and military around here I find it hard to believe no one has revealed the secret acronym.

It's always called a MCTB - the magical cylinder tank bottle. Be sure not to release that to anyone who's not certifiable.

Now get back to sleep...

Well ... a Tank, a Vessel, and a Bottle ... all are containers, but a Cylinder can be a tube without ends, so ....

When looking at prices on websites I see tanks and cylinders depending on location.

I also hear pop and soda, water fountains and bubblers, beer and beer. oh! :D
