BTW: There is an assumption made in my post, and that is that you're not talking about bungied wings. The air shifting issue doesn't exist in the bungied wings, nor does the added drag from the extra material...

However bungied wings bring in other issues that in my eyes don't justify the solution to the shifting air issue; or at least not enough to offset the solution of getting a more appropriate sized wing.
