I've been looking at the PADI patches. Ya know, for thier size, color, shape, and if you go all the way to instructor, you'll have a very cool beer coaster set!

Stick them on your friends' BC while he is not looking...kind of like a "Kick Me" sign in the SCUBA world. Everyone will have a great time making fun of him!

Do the patches have any function, when do they give them to you?

They keep dirt out of your eye socket.

Seriously they have no function. It's just another way for PADI (Pay Another Dollar In) to make a buck.

If you like to decorate then get them.

I keep the patches, certificates, slates, tables, and manuals all together on the shelf.
I thought to use the patches on the jacket, but my diving level kept on changing and I feel that PADI should pay me for the advertisement.

The patches are free, they come with the crew pack.

Patches...Patches...We don't need no stinkin patches :eek:ut:

I think that like Spare Air, they should be bright orange.

So they're easier to spot.
