Nice report.. and super glad that Pickens is open again... someone needs to check the tide tables to find a weekend that has a low tidal swing...
 
A lower tidal swing means far less influx of clearer gulf water, the larger swings are always better for visibilty.

You are correct... but it also means more current... been a long time, but I have dove there in some nasty current...
 
Just dive it during the slack period and its fine :)

I used to dive this site between tides and it could be sporty, but I've never had it unmanagable.
