been looking for a site that i can upload pictures and share as an online link. any ideas?

You can use ScubaBoard's Gallery - it's big, free and easy. I use it and can hotlink or insert photos from it in other sites.
WebShots is also very good and free. It also has some neat features.

There's also photobucket which is a favorite of mine, I have some galleries hosted there. http://photobucket.com/
Pbase is another www.pbase.com but I think that's geared more towards the serious photographer? Great photos on the website though.
