But from what i know about knives (which is alot) is that they were designed souly to kill. Yes of course they can be used as other tools, but their main purpose is to protect ones self.
I might not be an expert on knives Evil, but between my kitchen, workshop, junk drawer, toolbox, pocket, tackle box, and dive gear I've got more than 30 of them, and not a single one was designed to kill, souly or otherwise. They're all tools... some for cutting steak, some for chopping onions, some for opening boxes, some for scoring linoleum, some for trimming plastic parts, some for carving wood, and some, like my dive knife, for cutting rope and monofilament. The closest any of my knives come to acting like a weapon is when I use one for shucking scallops, and that knife is four inches long with a rounded tip.

My dive knife is most definitely a tool. The only thing it gets to cut besides fishing line and other entanglements is the occasional piece of fruit between or after dives,

The Dutch government’s definition of allochtonen is people who were not born in Holland (except when both their parents are Dutch), or who have one, or both, parents who were not born in Holland. This definition states simply that people who are not Dutch are allocthtonen.

Boy- Busy government. That's gotta be better than a war.

Bulldog, Stardust; Schevegnin: Kurhaus, the Bali. I'm done.

The BFKs do have their purpose. When you see somebody wearing one, it helps you more easily identify that as a diver to avoid. Kind of a "dullard alarm".

Think about it like this: either your knife is a tool, or you are. :D

Wrong.

The modern Dutch Governement defines the word Allochtoon as anyone who can speak another language.

My kids are perfect little Dutch kids (and so is their mother) but they will never be accepted as being "Dutch" even though they were born Dutch and have the Dutch nationality. .....

You have no idea how racist this "progressive" government is.....

In a cave a knife is a tool, in the open ocean a knife is a tool and a weapon. I carry two knives, one blunt-tipped, and the other with a sharp tip.

Depends on whut yar usin it fer !!!!

Sorry, I forgot to post my own opinion on what I think of my diving knife. I feel that yes, the dive knife is more of a tool than a weapon. I use it to cut entanglements and an occasional slash at a friend that angers me, but if something were to attack me, say a shark or something. Other than giving up I would use the knife as a weapon. Now, I own alot of combat knives, Tantos, Kabars, boot knives... all kinds, and the fact that im trained in self defense with a knife. So my main view of a knife would be to use it as a weapon in most cases. And I just wanted to see what other people used their dive knives for aswell.

Thanks for the input!
