I'm done Doc, put a fork in me :D

So they should just post about something random or post things that don't even make sense? Once again, it has NOTHING to do with boosting post count - i could care less if thats what makes them tick. That is not the problem at hand, once again.

If you don't like them... don't read them. It's really quite simple.

If you are using the Classic skin the ignore option is missing - could be why you can't find it.

I'll take a look at this for you. We didn't do much on the "Classic" skin. It's pretty much straight from vBulletin. The Exclude function is an enhancement that was added to SB. :)

I think a lot of people do it to quickly boost their post count -.......
........ Once again, it has NOTHING to do with boosting post count -.....

......... grow up......

Will, take it from someone that has grown up and got the grey hairs to prove it... pick an argument and stick to it

and note, when i type in green its a staff post, when not then its a ordinarily citizen post so dont try to make NetDoc responsible for all the typed words of his crew, if out of place we, like every other member of SB, are accountable to the TOS and will be moderated just like everyone else

so you dont want to see welcoming posts, your suggestion has been reviewed by the head of
the board himself & you have been given numerous advice on how to achieve this so enjoy your
welcome-less :sblogo:

cheers

Dont pull my posts out of context and use them inappropriately. The problem at hand is the mass posting of 2+ pages of threads in the intro thread which I said from post #1. I stated that a possible reason for this is to boost post count, I never said it was the problem - that is where other people came in. I never once said I did not want to see welcoming posts either - in fact - I said that it was good to see people who actually took the time to welcome members, so once again, please do not misquote me and pull things I said out of context.

Why should I have to ignore staff members posts? If anything, they should be the posts that actually added reason, maturity, and fairness to the threads.

I am not sure why you doubt the sincerity or the veracity of my statement?

You have complained about a situation and have as of yet given us any possible solution. One was proffered by DamselFish, but alas it is not possible. So, you want us to listen, but to what? You don't like the way some people post, and you even admit that they are posting within the ToS. Again, I am at a sincere and complete loss as to what you think we should do here? Feedback is great, but it must be accompanied with specific suggestions as to how to improve this for it to be considered constructive.

Actually, once again, if you actually read my post I did provide two possible solutions

Maybe set a higher interval between posts in this forum or even make posts not count towards postcount.

Others like Damselfish have thrown in other good solutions - so they HAVE been brought up. Just because a post is within the ToS does not mean that is good for the forum.

I was saying you should ignore threads that don't appeal to you.
