Hollis Drysuit

Has anyone purchased a drysuit from the new Hollis line? Any comments? I am looking for my first drysuit and I like the Hollis name. Any help would be great.

I have one currently on backorder. I saw them at DEMA (Professional Diving Convention) and loved them. They are light weight, Rugged, and flexible. Although i have not had a chance to dive it I expect it to eliminate the bulky feeling associated with diving dry and cut down on drag!

Thank you for the reply. It doesn't seem that there are many people diving with these suits. It's a big investment and I would like to make the right choice.

I had a quick look at their site. What makes their suit different other than you can wash it with soap and water?

Personally, if I were making a big investment I'd go mainstream first.

Our BioDry FX100 & BX200 are stretchable membrane suits with a material on the outside similar to that of Kevlar, called "WearForce". It is similar to our original Bioflex material, however it has three times the stretch and is twice as durable. That in combination with a thick polyeurethane coating makes it extremely durable and flexible, while still lightweight.

These suits will be shipping mid-summer. If you have any further questions please let us know.

I think it's great that a manufacturer is responding. From your website all I could glean was "typical" drysuit information. I'd be curious in the very near future to see a drysuit with stretch and durability. Not something that's easy to come across unless it's DUI CFX, or neoprene drysuit. I'll keep my eye out for your product.

I currently own a Hollis BP/W and it is great. quality, comfort, and built well.
I agree that you dont see that type of response from a manufacturer. I am very impressed with the Hollis line. I just hate to be the firs one with the new suit.
Maybe my LDS will let me demo one???

Nick, Going from the website description. it says it has gators, are they built in or are they removable ? Can you get the suit without them ?
