You will fit right in!

I need to go find the beer drinking thread.

Found it, the BEER thread. Says allot about this sorry group of ours. Note Krobi's avatar!

It looks like email was faster than the board posting our posts.

Krobi, "Kenny" is the only KPP member that can certify a diver for underwater beer drinking. We need to check with him! I understand it is a pretty easy certification, right on par with advanced deco....... :eyebrow:
Well, you know it does involve bubbles. But if we went to the moon shine then there wouldn't be any bubbles!

I just want to get back into the water (and not freeze).

Get more experience and buy a dry suit...or just suck it up like a man!! :D After all you do suck, you said it yourself.

I was certified last fall, took one sport dive at Hopkinsville, took a spring diving vacation to FL last month, took a nitrox class in Evansville last weekend, but NOBODY has mentioned to me an underwater beer drinking class!!!!!

I feel like my education has been shorted! :shakehead:

I think the UW beer drinking is a FRP/KPP specialty course. It looks like

If I would have known you better I was going to post that. But I didn't. After we meet you are fair game like the rest. :D Speaking of fair game where is Jennifer? (evil laugh)

I will have to admit that the science of diving is fascinating but I had never thought it through to this point.

I'm no scientist, but if I'm at 1 atmosphere and open a beer I have bubbles that
come out of solution, 2 atmospheres the bubbles still come out of solution but
at 1/2 their size. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe the inverse
would be true on opening a beer at depth, the pressure would impede the explosive
growth of the bubbles.

I gota have a cold one with anyone that thought this through!

Hey Chris, want to practice underwater beer drinking with me? Maybe we can figure out how to get moon shine into a Capri Sun package. OH,OH,OH, a hypodermic needle should work, it worked on the camp stove. :rofl3::rofl3:

I remember that one. I think I still have the video that was sent to me about that. Hate watching it though,.... I was quite the newbie then & it showed.:D

Don't worry about me. I can take anything that you throw at me online, or on land, you might be able to freak me out underwater (that's where a bit of trust comes in).

You have allot to be proud of Tammy, you have come along way, worked very hard to be where you are now. I just hope we helped you on your journey, good or bad. :D

The last time we dived together, I remember freezing our butts off on a snowy day in a plastic shelter trying to warm up, those early dry suit dives were a &^#$. :rofl3:

Hope to see you soon!

That is a given when we dive. The only unknown is what flavor will show up the day of the dive. Kenny and I tend towards Red Stripe and Honey Brown. Big KPP group events, it's usually MGD'S!

Wow, where to start. I'm a Busch light guy, my dad drinks MGD, but Red Stripe is a lot of the reason that I'm here.

If that didn't make you wonder *** is this guy talking about, I took a vacation last Sept to Jamaica with my ex-gf (bitch! but that's beside the point). I've wanted to dive for years but never had the chance without going out to look for it (I should have ). At the resort in Montego Bay, I decided to take a discover SCUBA course, just to say that I had done it. Well, hurricane Ike decided that I wasn't going to dive. I sat there listening to her fuss about the weather, holding the money that I was going to blow on that worthless discover SCUBA class, and having as good of time as possible.

When I came home, I found out that a high school friend of mine had learned to dive a few months earlier. We talked about it, I took the classes, and here I am. He is one of the guys that I took the dive vacation with last month.

If it hadn't been for Jamaica, the ex that left as soon as we got back, and it's world famous Red Stripe beer (which I had a lot of while there), I might not have ever gone to diving classes.

How's that for a story?
