I got a pair to test out when we first got them into the shop in May. They are a great fin! Light and flexible but stiffer than the Volo Powers.

Everything was looking great on them until today when they broke at the joint during a dive. The rubber flex point in front of the foot pocket broke...not a happy camper right now. Little peeved because I leave for Bonaire on Saturday and now need a new fin. The X-Streams are so hard to come by that I don't think I'll be able to get a replacement in time.

Hi All

I am also interested in peoples reviews of these fins, Primarily in relation to their effectiveness in different conditions.

A large percentage of my diving takes place in high current which requires a decent amount of thrust from my fins, I am currently using Quatro Excels which are effective in current though not as effective as the Quatro Powers. I have seen the promo clip and am concerned with the amount of flex in these, I have seen the Volo's in the water and they appear fine in no current but strugle in current.

X-streams are great, to me more thrust, lighter, and more compfortable then the Volo Power. I always add spring straps makes life so much easier. The Volo Power is still a great fin though, not too many can compare.

Is there a probleme to deliver to your sellers? I have been waiting for few weeks and they cant´t still tell a deliverydate because Mares don't know when they can deliver

Hi, I cannot speak for Sweden. I can tell you they are in production in all sizes and all colors. We have had size regular in the U.S. for approximately 2months. Small and XL are now intransit. I would assume you will not have to wait much longer.

Best,

I wonder if anyone knows how much (little) these fins weigt. Can not find the that info anywere

They weigh 0.66kg per fin compared to 1.14kg for the Raptors... That's a big difference.

I also got the X-Streams and am very happy with them. I'm a new diver, so I don't have a lot of experience to compare. Funny thing is that your can really feel the pivoting action in your anckles, so that's weird at first. But when you continue to kick down, they do give quite some power. I've used these fins in 11 dives in the Red Sea where we went diving with a group. I noticed that I had to hold myself down because I was going much too fast compared to the rest of the group using standard rental fins. In a way I felt burdened of being so fast with so little effort, so I think that's a good thing of these fins.

I actually like the ABS Plus buckles on them although I can imagine being less durable then a spring. I take really good care of my equipment, but if you don't I can imagine changing them out for springs.

Well I trailed these fins for the first time on the weekend after wearing Quatro Excels for the past year. And I have to say that I was glad to have had the opportunity to try these without buying them, these might be ok in no current but in current they are crap.

I imagine that these may be an improvement on split fins or the such but I would not wear them even if they were free. Give me a set of Quatro Excel or Power any day, they are great in current and with good technique are awesome in no current and are durable.

These are my personal options though.

Can you explain why you think they are crap for currents?
