To whom may concerned:
Mr or Ms Novae, the 150m diving flashlight has infringed Hong Kong XTAR's intellectual property and patented copyright. As a matter of law, please cease and desist any advertising and sale of this product immediately, or we will resort to litigation.
Respectfully

And you would be?? You just joined today, started a thread here: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/introductions-greets/363165-say-hi-milestar.html and made five posts to your own thread and your profile has no information? If you are responding as a vendor please use a sign on that reflects that.

Lol. China wants America to abide by IP law.

I agree, how funny :rofl3::rofl3::rofl3::rofl3:

Please don't misunderstand I in no way believe it is right to steal another's idea or product but I just don't believe this is the platform to issue this type of ultimatum, extremely rude and unprofessional. I also question his ability to issue such demands and think the person that calls himself "Milestar" is acting like a troll.

BTW I bought the Photic 1200 (SST-50) from Novae, shipped from California to me in California in 2 days. Excellent communication by the seller. Its my first dive light purchase, although I have used the Pri. Tech light and in fact on our day dives @ Lobos & night dive @ Metridium fields it was visibly brighter. (gonna try to pull some stills from the video).

My only gripe with it is that the batteries last only about 2 hours & it did quit on me at our turnaround point at the Metridium fields without any warning (even though it did show 75% in the parking lot) I am guess the lithiums are protected. I am going to have to order at least 1 more set of batteries.

As for Mr. Hong Kong unless we see those patent numbers (with links because I am lasy) from the US Patent office I am not going to care for 1 word you say.

No disrespect intended! I am sorry for any offense brought by the words in the declaration.

Glad to hear Novae is a excellent communication seller, as for the 150m diving flashlight he advertised in this thread, from the specifications it should be better than XTAR's, but the external design did have infringed our Patent Registration Certificate No. 201030299173.0 of State Intellectual Property Office of P.R.China.

Hello all! It looks like their has been some interesting topics of discussion while I was away! Since the "Hydra" or "Xtar D01" is unbranded, I will respect "Milestar" request and cease all selling activities of the light in question (whether or not Milestar is actually affiliated with Xtar) until I can verify the origins of this light. In my defense, the manufacturer that I have been dealing with granted me freedom to sell this particular light as well as allowing me to customize this light to my particular preference. I have no intention of violating any business ethics and codes so I do apologize in advance if I have mistakenly done so. On another note, thank you to all the SB members for their support! Novae is all about providing quality lights and building not just a customer base, but a family base, and the responses in regards with this situation have reminded me why I work so hard to serve my friends! Thanks for your continuing support! :)

Many thanks for your cooperation, Novae! If you still have doubts about my status and motivation, you can contact to xtarlight-service04@hotmail.com for further information.

Just received two of these from Novae. Dove them yesterday at Blue Heron Bridge.

These are BRIGHT. A really great beam. I mean, really amazing. They have 3 easily adjusted power levels which is great for getting close to critters that might be spooked by too bright a light. The adjustment and on/off magnetic ring is very smooth, and it can be bumped to lower settings if you are thrashing about, but not in normal use. They feel very solid in the hand but not overly heavy. They have good slots at the base for tying off clips or a lanyard (lanyard included).

It was great having lights on a cloudy day as they really brought out the color of the marine life. They were really BRIGHT.

Beam has a pretty tight spot with good halo. Not tech light tight but still very clean and easy to signal my buddy with. As a reef diver I much prefer a broader beam because it shows you more area in glorious color. I thought this light was excellent for what I do.

Obviously, this was not a depth test since our max depth was 18".

The light has a battery indicator with 4 flashes for strongest and one flash for weakest. After 60 minutes of continuous use, my light flashed 3 at the end of the dive. This looks very promising. Will do a burn time test in the pool.

Did I say these are bright? I am looking forward to using these on an upcoming night dive.

For the price, this is an unbelievable deal. I am glad I snapped up two of their last ones before their new shipments come in!

I hope they perform at depth and are as durable over time as they feel. If so then I would say this is the deal of the year!
