I have a Mares Puck Air Integrated. I have been diving now for a week in Cozumel and it has not given me a single safety stop. 11 dives all below 30 feet. It does work very well when into deco, but not otherwise. Thanks for any help or insight (even if it would illuminate basic errors I may have made in setting the unit up!)
The most obvious source of error is of course that I have not found a specific setting. I have read through the manual and it doesn't seem like it can be turned on and turned off. All my dives were deeper than 30 ft. Every time my Oceanic Veo 180 which I have as backup automatically went into safety stop. (And yes, of course I still did a safety stop)
Thus, I'm starting to think there may be something wrong with the unit.
Any other ideas? Zak OHara?

I have encountered this as well and it was addressed in a similar thread. The safety stop function will not work when you hit the low reserve alarm. You must reach safety stop depth prior to reaching the low reserve tank pressure. The low reserve setting is adjustable. However, it will not count down your safety stop once you hit that low reserve setting. I have a Puck Air and scrutinized it closely once I started noticing that the safety stop function sometimes did not kick in. In every instance, my tank pressure was below the low reserve.
On a side note, I have also noticed that the computer omits one of the digits in the altitude adjustment and the log book incorrectly records your gas mix. Essentially, it defaults all the nitrox dives to the percentage that your computer is currently set for. I have talked to tech support and they have assured me that the computer records the info correctly and can be viewed if you spend the $90 for the drak and download you dives to your home computer.
Again, these are my personal experiences with this computer. If you have any concerns about your unit, you should send it in to an authorized service center.
