As far as a lot of cheap ass Canadians are concerned Cuba`s number 1 reason to go there is to avoid American tourists..... followed shortly by a weeks vacation that costs less with airfare than a weeks worth of diving.

OMG! The horse may have been beat to death (many posts ago!) but apparently you can't kill a Cozumel taxi thread!!!
Do you think if we all chipped in a dollar (or CV donated from his extensive tequila stash!) we could bribe a MOD to send this thread into a long overdue death?
(And maybe have enough leftover to reimburse those who suffered such horrible mental anguish by forgetting to ask the rate, and being overcharged??)
On the other side of things, I bet the taxi drivers would be thrilled that they've been a major topic of discussion for days and days and days. The'd probably be considered celebrities after all this international attention.

I'm quite sure the mods check this thread every 30 minutes in the hopes of finding something justifiable to close or even better to them delete it so all this info disappears as if it never happened in the beloved Cozumel forum.

Isn't Scuba and Travel interesting and fun? We all seem to have a very strong opinion on most of the issues like splits and AI. Hell, we all even have a strong opinion on Taxi fares. Such a diverse group of people that post here. Good thing there isn't really any Scuba Police. (or is there?)

Well, it has to be. Because divers are fun and interesting people. Or at least PADI told me that about 1000x through the course of their video and book.
