So, the bluebuddy DEFINITELY mounts in it. It's also FAR too small for the "finger grooves" to fit fingers. I'm thinking it mounts to your reg hoses or inflator hose. Either way, it's a mount that makes it harder to lose.

its obviously an arm extension for "larger people" to help them put on their fins while in water... fingers go through the holes slide the end behind the strap of fins and pull toward hip the shape the strap catch and the action of the pull release the strap at the perfect moment just over the heel.

I agree, from the quarter we can see the size is appropriate for a blue buddy to snap into the "hook". It would seem that the purported "finger holes" are not for fingers.

What has me puzzled is why the hook is offset from the axis of the finger holes. There must be a hint in regards to this.

The bluebuddy slides sideways into the mount and clicks into place. The new display screen goes into the fingerholes section thereby creating divenavs new dive computer.

I think the "finger holes" are for cable connection. I'm not familiar with the products so I don't know what exactly plugs into them, but on the videos of the DCbuddy, I see a cable connected to it, maybe it's something on those lines.

I tried looking at the site for pictures of their products, to have a better idea of what they look like/do, but couldn't find any.

I've got it. The device is designed to generate traffic on the DiveNav website!

I copied the image and rotated, flipped, shrunk expanded and twirled it in every way I could. I also tried fitting it to all of their other products because I initially thought that it must have something to do with being a bracket for one of those..... and, of course, there was something to win if I could demonstrate my superior intelligence....

My conclusion. It's not a bracket for an existing product as far as I can see.

That leaves the question of what it is..... and I have absolutely no idea whatsoever. I know that they're really digging bluetooth and integration but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to put a battery. It appears to mountable.... but to what?.... it appears to NOT be a handle of any kind, or to have any way to be mounted to a cylinder or a BCD.... If it were mounted behind the shoulders then it would be an entanglement hazard and not easy to market.

Since it has to be used under water then it is something that the diver would want to have on the front of their body between the hips and shoulders. It's made of plastic so it's not a tool and it doesn't appear to be an innovation on any bit of existing dive gear I can think of.

which only leaves one option. THIS is not what they're marketing. The product they're about to introduce is the thing the fits with this.

They already make various electronics so I'm going to guess that they got with the times and they're about to announce a product to compete with the go-pro. The thing he's been showing us, therefore, is the "selfie shelf" They will announce a camera that mounts into this and you wear it. It bluetooths its way onto your computer and integrates seamlessly with facebook. It's under water social media.

R..

lol, no R, he has already confirmed it is a bracket for the bluebuddy, it's in one of the posts, sorry, too lazy to go look for it.

He also already mentioned, right after someone suggested it was for the bluebuddy, that it is pretty close to describing what it is for, actually, it's already nailed what it is for (bluebuddy bracket), the missing answer is, how is it used.

Since there's 5 holes, they're obviously not finger holes... They're toe holes and it's a bluebuddy foot mount :D

Maybe pairs with the waterproof housing for some phone to turn the phone into a live dive computer
