These were just a few quick samples Kelly was kind enough to share with the web. I will try to get out a short video too....

nice shots..
yeah, what was I thinking, braving the crowds on a mid day, holiday weekend dive? :rofl3:
FWIW, we tried a beach dive today off Dania Beach. Surge, low vis (5ft max nearshore, up to 30 at the ledge) made me wonder if that 40 ft. blue water yesterday was enough of an incentive to go back to the bridge tomorrow.

I'm still trying to get my head around Jenny braving a weekend:rofl3:
Here are some from last weekend's challenging conditions;
Any ID on this beauty would be appreciated. Great colors....

Looks like a very small Schoolmaster Snapper (Lutjanus apodus). We get a very few of them up here in NJ in late summer.

I thought I would pop in with an apology for all the divers I drove crazy with my beeping computer on Saturday:fear: My Uatec was quite alarmed by my multiple bounces to 120m (393.7 ft) I suspect I now hold the depth record for diving at BHB :eyebrow: Possibly also the most annoying diver award as well. I am glad I was diving with a redundant computer but I am not sure other divers were as I would have had to abort the dive otherwise. I have come a fair ways to establish my goal of a dive longer than 3hrs at the Bridge.

I am curious about this critter. In OZ I would ID it as an Umbrella Shell. Anybody want to educate the Ozzie?

We made the drive across the state (from Sarasota) for two really hectic dives on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was busy but Sunday was a whole other animal. Entrance was actually closed at the park as we left.

Fun dives with warm water and decent viz but definitely our two least productive dives at the bridge critter wise. Not sure where they were all hiding but they were doing a good job.

Jenny - I think I saw you towards the end of your dive on Saturday. I was in a blue skin with camera in hand and you pointed out a beautiful sea horse on the east side. I get that right?

The other hint it was you was BowlofPetunia's dive computer hehe. We couldn't figure out what was going on.

Again, slow weekend but attached are a few pictures.

Also started a new flickr album for our BHB dives. Just keep clicking the photographs until they open up full screen. https://www.flickr.com/photos/uwphotos/sets/72157647110113172/

LOL.. funniest part was when other divers were looking at their computers and holding them up to their ears.. LOL

We heard how BoP's self destructing computer had every other diver double checking their own computers!

Like have the back - up warning beeper stuck on as you drive down the road.....it gets everyone's attention ď

Yes, this is an Umbraculum umbraculum, a kind of sea slug. It is quite rare at the bridge - great find! Here is a link to another one found there: Umbraculum umbraculum (Lightfoot, 1786) Atlantic Umbrella Slug
Here is the link from the Sea Slug Forum, even though all the references on it are from the Pacific The Sea Slug Forum - Umbraculum umbraculum
