multri's are much different than getting a single 40 in snug and trim.. IMHO, it's worth getting the 40 in so it isn't hanging low and almost straight vertical. Nor is it terribly difficult to get a single 40 snug and trim.

Less drag, less banging the 40 and the reg on it around and less chance of it getting hung up on something...esp is ow wreck environment.

Cave?? LOL, could care less how a 40 is slung, it's getting left at the entrance, close to and I normally hand carry it and dump it off. When I deco i will clip the top , I may (or most likely not) clip the bottom off...

I had 4 AL80's, 1 steel 72, 1 AL40, side-mounted 108's, a scooter, and my CCR. And a partridge in a pear tree.

There's your problem right there, Christmas is long over. Maybe should've asked Santa for neutral stage tanks?
:gas:

:drunks:

Do you use a bailout partridge or get your buddies in an OOP situation?

I take bailout planning very seriously. My OC bailout strategy was:

330 cubic feet of bottom mix (2x needed to get out from max pen)
80 cubic feet of 190' gas (2.5 x needed)
80 cubic feet of 120' gas (2x needed)
80 cubic feet of 70' gas (1x needed)
120 cubic feet of oxygen. (2x needed)

My buddy carried the same. It was enough gas that we could have handled two CCR failures from max penetration, we would have been a little tight on the 70' gas, but could compensate with the 120' gas.

Compared to the guy that went in before us with his CCR, a bailout CCR, and an AL 40 of oxygen..

And in an Out Of Partridge situation?

Just kidding Ken :troll:

At least the pear tree allows plenty of space to keep them all in trim.

I'm just jealous because a) I can't believe how much hassle I'm having fine tuning my tank trim. I had it down fine with 2 tanks, added 2 deco and I am right back where I started. b) My RB decided to bomb out 2:30 into a planned 4:00 OW dive so I went up alone while the other 3 carried on. 1:30 sitting cold on the boat is not what I signed up for.

ummm...interesting choice?
