How do deep6 fin sizes compare to Jetfins or DiveRite fins? I've got a pair of XL jets that are too small, and a pair of XL DiveRite XT's that fit well. I used to have some mares x-stream in XL that fit well also.

I'm hoping I can fit into the XL's because deep6 doesn't do orange in xxl and I want the colored ones.

I've heard the fins are slightly positive. Are both the "soft" and "regular" fins positive?

Does anyone know the return policy for deep6? I've never ordered fins online before, and I'm concerned about fit... I'd hate to have another pair of fins that lives only in a closet alongside my too-small jets.

I use XL jets that just fit.

I use L Eddy that are a little loose.

XL Eddy should fit you.

I'm a size 8.5 (Turbotec soles or hard-soled neoprene boots) and with my drysuit I use need to XL Jetfins and XL Slipstreams. I fit into a L Eddy Fins with no issues so I imagine XL would fit you just fine.

I posted a review comparing them to Jets/Slipstreams if you're interested. There are some pictures of the foot pockets: Gear Review: Deep Six Eddy Fins - wrecklessdiver.com

I would not worry about ordering them online. Chris (@cerich) is a good guy and my understanding is Deep Six will happily exchange them for a different size if they don't fit.

Thanks, guys. I ordered a pair of XL's. Fingers crossed that they fit.

Please do let us know how they fit when you receive them.

According to UPS My Choice, I have a package from DEEP 6 OUTFITTERS scheduled for delivery today! I guess he shipped them the day I placed the order. That's good service!

Yay for new toys!

I'm a size 9.5-10. When I tried on Scubapro Jets, I fit in the XL. Everything I could find said to order L, so I did. Mine are supposed to come in today. Hope to dive them this weekend. If only it could stop blowing 900 knots in NC....yeah that would be grrrrrreat.

I am about to buy a new fins, my initial choice was Scubapro Jetfins and now that I read the previous review...

Will this fins be adequate for Cave and Wreck diving?

These are a stiff solid fin with no articulation or split. The question is, do you want fins that are negatively buoyant (jetfins/dive rite xt/others) or nearly neutral (these)? When I do caves, it's in a drysuit and I appreciate the negative buoyancy that my diverite fins have. I ordered these fins for open water diving so I could avoid having to offset the buoyancy in my diverite fins with shoulder weights.

Well right now I will be open to doubles, drysuit, sidemount, Rebreather, so I am looking for a really good fins who will follow me for any dives. I would say neutral buoyancy as I am more looking to make Cave and Wreck diving.
