@halocline a later year's SP 108 schematic parts list also shows that there was a choice of red and blue diaphragms at some point.

Orange on an octopus may have stood out on the surface, but I'm not sure how visible it is at depth. Yellow is much more noticeable at depth.

Behind the big chrome face plate ring and the (black) rubber cover (black) it likely is pointless......

Pointless, maybe, but the accent looks nice.

It would look great too with a SUPRA first stage. Essentially a T shaped Titan.
 
@buddhasummer : how does that swivel work for you on the second stage? Been eyeing them on and off for some time. Price is driving me to "hold off".... (plus, they aren't DH useful.. :p.)
