I linked this photo from the dive gear swap section of Facebook. The person is selling some gear and posted the receipt as proof of service. Someone (not myself) did post that the charges seemed high. The person responded that this was the only dive shop in the area. I feel bad for the person because he clearly paid more than he needed to. Remember you can always ship your gear to another shop for service.

This is for more than just a "regulator" service. It appears to include BC and gauge service. The labor charges appear to be high. I don't know about the prices for the service kits and parts replaced if they are higher than they should or not.

Gauge service is nothing. You replace the two 003 orings or the entire spool and check the pressure to se if it’s true.

everything is inflated, parts, labor, even got nickel and dimed for the orings.

Though likely buried in those items, they should have itemized for "but lube" too....

Different shop, but something like that happened to me once too.... Now have nearly 10 years of self servicing of my gear... Haven't set foot in the door there since. Hope it was worth it to them. I know it has been for other service and equipment suppliers.

YMMV

LEXVIL/AMS...

It's been happening forever...in this case more than a good quality ''house brand set'' of your choice is worth...and that would be a full single tank set with all the good accesories...

The experienced divers know what to do...unfortunately...it's the novices that end up getting snagged...over and over...

The more captive an audience the shop thinks they have...the higher the prices...
