Everyone is tired of the pandemic, and having to be inconvenienced by measures to limit its spread. From where I live, it looks to me that many people have just decided they've tired of the inconveniences, they're given up, and have decided to move on - as if the virus was not still circulating...fewer people wearing masks, less distancing, more congregating. It's human nature but it's also dangerous and irresponsible IMHO. The virus is still around.

I worry that people will just give up, pretend the virus has been beaten, and we will get a big spike that requires a complete shutdown and shelter-in-place again. Nobody wants that.

A complete shutdown isn't happening again. With a 0.5% mortality rate, people have decided they would rather get sick that live in confinement.

That's a 4% fee. Wells Fargo offers me lousy rates like that. I do much better at the ATM at the end of my block.
