No, but I’m not searching for them. I’m with a private guide so I took a different profile. I like the longimanus, but I’ve seen them often and i go to coco/Socorro/tiger beach etc, so I get my shark fix elsewhere :)

Other group saw in the distance. I want them within 3 feet or I’m not bothered.

Quick update: it's now 96 h:
Travellers can present negative COVID-19 test taken within 96 hours of arrival at Egypt airports
The guys are reading here and know where you come from... @Ministryofgiraffes
Or did you talk to them, @bvbellomo

more update : arrival at Taba, Sharm, Hurghada and Marsa Alam authorized without result of PCR test .... BUT the PCR test is still required and thus will be conducted in these airports for 30 USD, and the passenger confined in his hotel room, waiting for the results.

Several Egyptian airports do not require PCR test prior to arrival: Minister - Egypt Independent
EGYPTAIR - Countries General Travel Restrictions & Requirements

edit : sorry, I've just seen JustSurfaceInterval has already published this update here : Is anyone planning to go on a Red Sea liveaboard in the Aug-Oct 2020 timeframe

If you think about taking the PCR test upon arrival, dont forget that it's still Egypt.... Inch'Allah.

Have you seen Longimanus elsewhere than Elphinstone, especially with those black & white pilot fish? I've been to Cocos, Socorro & Galapagos, seen many kinds of sharks, but no Longimanus until I went to Red Sea.

I'll be in Tiger Beach to see Tiger shark this November if Bahamas let the American to come in by then.

‘confined to your hotel room’ is actually ‘tell us what hotel you are staying in and we will contact you if there is an issue’... I guy I was in the pool with had written his hotel as ‘Mickey mouse towers hurghadha’ you can put anything down for your hotel, or liveaboard etc.
