    PADI Oxygen Provider Course

The reason I am retaking (reconsidering) to take the course is because I am getting certified as a SSI Dive Con, and they want a copy of my O2 and First Aid cards. I remember my First Aid instructor told me to take a refresher every 2 yrs but am not sure if I had to (MUST) retake the PADI's...

Got a question regarding PADI's Oxygen provider course and I appreciate in advance for all who read and replied to my question. I took my PADI Oxygen Provider course about 2 yrs ago. I know that I need to keep myself updated and retake my First Aid course, but do I need to get recertified...

    Tank Failure in Cozumel

Sometime last year I read about an artivle in Alert Diver mag. The article was about: "how you should always check your gear after you have it serviced. Poor servicing could lead to problems" Maybe in a pool with someone next to you. Coud it be the service? Did you use your equip and did you...

"For pelagics and big stuff, try the south, especially Brothers - Daedalus - Elphinstone itinerary." When would the best time to go to see the big stuff? May, June? Does anyone know a good dive co could be daily or liveaboard.

Split from Catalina Diver died.. Advanced Certification is a joke

I must have to agree with money = card. If you have the money take a few course then they gıve you the card. I have seen so many examples. Not with one agency but many. Can't say everyone out there is doing this. As much that I have seen a lot of bad examples I have also seen very good...

    Egypt in January

Can not say much about visibility in January. But I dove during the summer and the vis was excellent. I would def. suggest diving in Sharm where you can also dive Thistlegorm. One warning though they really want to see if you can dive well before they let you dive at the good places. They are...

    Ikelite vs Sealife?

Hello, Got an Ikelite casing for my Canon Sd-800 and never had a problem. Just make sure once you buy your casing to also buy some extra o-rings and lub. Another thing to consider is lighting. Ahhh thats where things get pretty expensive...:) But like I said I like my Ikelite casing. It seems to...

Hello Storck, It must pretty cold up there :laughsnow: I live in Turkey and apart from not a lot of underwater life (after diving in the Redsea, it pretty much Sucks :) ), it is an "OK" place to dive. I use a MARES ICON BCD, Oceanic Delta 4 2nd stage FDX10 First Stage. Did you make your way to...

    Diving in The Red Sea

Ahhh yeah the Redsea. Just amazing. Was out there just this past August. Unbelievable underwater life. Oh yeah and have to mention Thistlegorm, one of the famous wrecks sunk by the Germans. Tanks, motocycles, trucks, and amunition is still there. Just incredible. MUST SEE!

Not a diver but have some questions

Well just like Doc said, once you experience it thats the end of it, you will be def. be hooked for life. You can rent all the equipment from the dive boat (must check with the dive club), however I must strongly advice buying your own mask, and fins. Reason being, everyone has a unique face and...
