Photographers don't move much. On the other hand, I've dived with a photo-buddy and when we both take photographs we don't really notice what's happening around us. But teaming up with a photographer is one way to take a slow dive.
A good idea is to talk to your buddy before the dive so you...
I'm an Assistant Instructor (PADI) and I just enjoyed the courses. However, to go from Assistant Instructor to full blown Instructor is quite expensive... and apart from that I didn't want to ruin the diving experience by having it as a job.
I got hooked at once... I've been diving since, but a little bit less now when I've become a father.
However, it's never too late... in my Divemaster-course a classmate was 70 and still going strong.
I've been diving around Sweden with my dry suit, a Ursuit Heavy-Light Rescue. When I use dry gloves I'm completely dry. If I use wet suit gloves it can get a little bit wet around my wrists. Not so much that it gets uncomfortable or even annoying.
Good luck!

Nice to hear that you're on your way to get wet again. Good luck, and join your son if you can, on his OW-dives. Always nice to do a couple of easy dives after a break.
Hi everyone,
I've been away from diving for a while, mostly because I've become a father and haven't found the time for diving. I really hope it will become easier soon.
Being a software programmer I've developped an iPhone app for dive planning. Soon to be released on Apples app store. I...
A little late for answering the question perhaps, but I'm swedish all the same.
I live and dive in the Stockholm region. I have dived on Gotland as well and I'm planning to do two dive trips to the west coast, where the diving is much better. Here on the east coast the visibility's generally...
Haha... it's alright! I've just come home and I'm hooked. I must return! Unfortunately the boat to Apo reef had engine failure so we missed out on that.
But I got 25 dives all in all, Puerto Galera, Verde Island and Chicken Feather Island. Fantastic!
Besides trecking by jeepney we also...
I've done almost all my entries by a giant stride, but when backrolling make sure you don't sit on a nail or anything that can get caught in your suit =)
I learned how to swim when I was 5-6 years old. I then tried swimming with mask and fins... no snorkel though (still don't use it much).
My first scuba experience was when I was 15. Just had a free activity day at school and I like to try new things.
After that I always wanted to get...
I think most is said on this topic.
When all is said and done, more is said than done.
My thought; 3 dives or less a day and not all down below 100 ft and good planning with the dive table... you don't need a computer.
But if you like diving and plan to continue for some time, buy a...
