    Sea Dragon Red filters

I have pair of Sea Dragons that I use with my Micro 2.0. I just got the red filters for the Sea Dragons. What setting should I use on My Micro 2.0? should I stick with the underwater depth setting selection, or go to Land as I have already filtered the light. Thanks, Jay

    Liveaboard dives

I have been diving liveaboards mostly in the Caribbean, Belize and Hawaii (Aggressor, ExplorerVentures, Nekton). For 5 days there were usually 5 scheduled dives and 2 dives on the 6th and final dive day. I have been looking at the many boats in the Maldives, and it seems that 18 dives for a...

St. Kitts, Saba, St. Marteen Dive Trip March 12-19 2016

The way that they run the itinerary is that one week the boat leaves out of St. Kitts you dive around St. Kitts, then you dive the rest of the week around Saba. On Friday at 1 PM after the last dive, the boat drives 2 1/2 hours to St. Marteen, Friday dinner on St. Marteen and fly home from St...

St. Kitts, Saba, St. Marteen Dive Trip March 12-19 2016

My 8th liveaboard and it was great. The crew of the Caribbean Explorer II were exceptional, serious divers that really knew the dive sites, its special features and territorial hideouts of unique fish or other creatures. Needless to say that the crew were a lot of fun and always engaging...

    Jeanne II - "Changing Tides"

Good luck Bill. I dove the Jeanne II many times, but not as much as I should have. You had a great crew who were always helpful, attentive and each were colorful characters. Once again thanks for the diving and good luck in California. Truly, end of an era as others have also said.

    Jeanie II, Brooklyn Dive Boat.

I heard that the Jeanie II dive boat out of Sheepshead Bay run by Bill Reddan has been sold. As far as I know it was the last boat out of South Brooklyn. The Karen also use to run out of this area until a few years ago. Does anyone know it someone is taking over the operation? or is it going...

    DX-1G Shots from St. Croix

Steve, Great pics. I would have voted several times for the Squat Anemone Shrimp (M0016708) and the "Banded Coral Shrimp & Moral Eel" (M0016642). You kept the camera on manual, in general what were your manual settings?

    Underwater Pictures With My G9

Great photos! One off topic comment/question. I have been on 4 Nekton cruises, I did not know that they allow/support rebreathers.

    Nekton trip to southern Belize

Joe, It sound very very tempting. Leslie cooking, Ephey and Mike driving, 3 divers, over 6000 sq ft of boat, and an ocean to dive in, I'll bring the sun. Because of my schedule I can't book more than 1 month in advance, so I'll try.

    Nekton trip to southern Belize

October-November is the time to go. I agree with fda483 and RoatanMan Nekton is great. I was there the week before fda483. We had a full week of sun, unlike the week after. It was my 2nd Nekton trip, and because of it I did my 3rd Nekton to the Cal Sal banks two months ago in June. I...

    Hawaiian Liveaboard

I agree. I've been on Nekton twice (both exceptional cruises) and I would love to do the SWATH in Hawaii. There are so many dive sites that there could be Hawaii Islands East, Central and West. The Kona Aggressor II does the Big Island, maybe three Nektons could cover the entire state...

    Hawaiian Liveaboard

Hi. I am thinking of going to Hawaii in mid-January and I have been looking for a liveaboard. The only boat that I have found is the Kona Aggressor. Are there other boats? Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

    Nekton Diving Cruises !!

Mechanical stuff breaks, do you own a car?, computer?, dive equipment? We got to keep the blood pressure down. The crew had the dive deck open for pre-dawn dives through the night dives, 6 a day if you wanted. We all enjoyed the diving, we all ate too much, warm cookies were flowing. We...

    Nekton Diving Cruises !!

Just came off of the Pilot (10/21 - 10/28) the first cruise after the refurb. Good news, bad news. It was my first time on the Pilot, I've been on the Rorqual. The good news is that the ship looks great, the two ships are identical twins inside and out (except the side view). The crew was...
