I just want to say that Armor Bags has great customer service. The handle on my duffle bag was ripped apart on my last trip by the airlines. I sent my bag into Armor and they fixed it and sent it back to me very quickly which will allow me to use it on my next trip. The fact that they were so...
My local SSI shop will sell you the DVDs if you want to get them but they will also allow you to stop by the store sometime before the class and watch them. I even think they will allow you to borrow them if you are someone who has been in before for training.
Thank you for taking the time to answer. Does the Red Cross blended learning fall in these guidelines and do you accept it? You do not get the certification cards until you complete the hands on session.
The coures are the same and Red Cross is not out to make a buck. You still have to demonstrate that you have a mastery of the skill in the skills session to receive your cards. It amazes me how many people want to reject technology because they fear it. At least online learning provides...
The temporary first aid card that you get when you complete the first aid part of the training says that it was taken online. I went to the local Red Cross yesterday and I told them that I had not received my permenanent card. They apolgized and printed me a new card. The permanent card is like...
I use the FujiFilm 2GB Type H XD card and I have had no problems. I switch back and forth between that one and a number of 1 GB cards without any issues.
I just finished getting recertified at Red Cross for CPR and First Aid. Red Cross now offers blended learing which allows you to do part of the class online and take the tests. Once you have passed the tests you can then go to the local Red Cross chapter and do a 2 hour skills review with a...

For lunch Papagayo's has fantastic burgers! My favorite is the fish burger. Others in my group swear by the Papagayo burger and the steak burger. Also you have to try the Bitterballen they are out of this world. On my last trip about a month ago I ate lunch there 4 times!
Thanks I called the number and the tech was very helpful. It looks like my best bet is to take it in to the dealer who I bought it from. I will get there this weekend.
My Aeris Atmos BCD back plate broke where it attaches to top bolt that connects to the rest of unit while I was in Bonaire this past week. Thankfully it happened on my last dive of the trip. My question is what can I do to get a new backplate? I just got back today so I have not yet taken it to...
I am going to be in Singapore for a few days and may have a day or possibly two to go diving. I see that Batam is about a 45 minute ferry ride away. Would I be able to find a dive shop, with equipment rentals, that I could use to get a couple of dives in? Any other advice about were to do some...
I am a first timer going to Bonaire and I am wondering what equipment I should bring?
What thickness of wetsuit should I use, I will be diving for a week?
Do I need to bring a safety sausage with me?
How extensive of a save-a-dive kit to I need or are parts readily available?
