    Man Whacked by Whale

Man Whacked by Whale This is a story of the media getting it wrong, specifically ABC news in this case. Confusing snorkelers and Divers once a again. Thus giving Divers a bad name. I submitted a follow up to them here I feel stories like that give divers a bad name. [edit]With in a few...

To Nitrox or not to Nitrox: that is the question

Depending on dive profiles of courseIf i am diving all week ill dive it. If i am doing one dive i wont. But if you can get it in a timely manner and a reasonable cost why not nitrox? Search nitrox once you will find a lot here.

First dry dives this past weekend

I find getting in my Dry Suit way easier than a wetsuit. I hate diving in a wet suit any thicker than 3mm, i feel like the michelin man in a 7mm.

TDI or PADI .. NITROX Class

As you go along in your diving life you will probably end up with multiple agency's. I am SDI, TDI, and Naui. I am sure there are people with more than that. Depends a lot on when certain classes are offered.

    Diver Attrition

I think that a bit low even. but a pertage point here or there does not change the fact that the drop out rate is high. Ask your DM or Instructor. how many students a year return to do more diving or a class? It is, oh, so few. In the last few years of being a dm it is only a handful.

    Are some people just thick?

Awareness. some have it, some think they have it, and some don't have one ounce of it. As a Diver and a DiveMaster I have seen divers crash in spectacular fashion into other divers, just trying to get a better view. I have held onto fins of one diver who never new I was doing it he kept...
