Ok, boys and girls, it's just about that time of year again. I'm anxious to see how Texas A&M and Missouri enjoy their new conference.

Let the taunting begin.

Tide plays Michigan soon, don't they? I bet that will be a good game. I ALWAYS cheer for the SEC team in out-of-conference games. So, just this once, Roll Tide. :thumb:

Yep, first game is vs. Michigan, Sept. 1 at the Jerrydome. I should prolly confess, I was raised in SC as a Clemson fan, went to Wisconsin, and am now a Tide fan by marriage. For the most part, I'll pull for the SEC (except for two teams) but since it's Auburn/Clemson on the 1st also in Atlanta that night it's ACC for me.

Friend and fellow Gator is trying to talk me into it. But that is one hell of a drive for a football game and airfare could be used to go diving. Oh, well.

USA Today Coaches Poll has LSU at top, followed by Bama.

Georgia came out ranked high.

Auburn came out ranked about where I expected them. The BCS Polls in my opinion had them ranked too high last year initially. I think most of that was the computer score because they were BCS champions the year before.

Thank GOD that Boise State is ranked down lower. Yeah they've got a good team and have lots of wins, but they never play anyone hard or ranked teams. I think last year they played 2 ranked teams and thought they should be able to play in the BCS? Gimme a break. compare that to Auburn's schedule last year where it had some heavy hitting SEC teams to play and also about 8 ranked teams on it's schedule. There is no comparison.

I'm in agreement with the top 10 on this list (perhaps slight change in order.) It's the next 15 that have the most question marks for me .... especially the Gators. Our group of Gator fans is usually pretty good at staying on top of things and knowing what's going on or to expect. This year, I just don't know. Perhaps that will make the season more enjoyable, no lofty expectations to compare the events on the field to. If we win by 1 point, I'll be over joyed, regardless of the opponent.

I'm not sure why USC is ranked so high. #3.

I've not been following them, but I wouldn't give Lane Kiffen that much credit. Also, they've been on probation which means their recruiting is down from past class years.

Their postseason play ban is lifted this year, but it's hurt their recruiting the past 2years.

they also have scholarship reductions for 2 more years.

They just snagged Silas Redd from Penn State. so we'll see.
