Happy 2013 to everyone on SB! I have made a firm resolution that 2013 is going to be the year that I finally get my trimix cert (planning to take a week off and fly down to Malapascua).

Anyone else got any resolutions (positive or negative) for the upcoming year?

I resolve to dive more often, and now that my nephew is certified this is definitely going to happen.

I resolve to get Nitrox certified, and probably get Rescue Diver Certification. These probably won't happen until after June. When my wife asks me what I want for father's day and my birthday it is usually scuba classes!

I resolve to insist that at least one vacation this year includes the need to pack my wetsuit and scuba gear.

I resolve to just have fun diving with friends and family!

Fun and safe diving to all.

Scuba .... Just Do It.

I resolve to keep doing what I'm doing. Diving as often as makes sense both at home and when travelling. I would like to get a little more DMing this coming summer. Am pushing 60, so at some point I'll have to dial it back--whatever "it" is.

Get in some diving every single month. Try to beat this year's dive total of 110 dives. Make it out of the country for some diving.

* Finish Drysuit Certification course (will be done on NYE technically)
* Complete Rescue Diver C-Card
* Leave the continental US for diving
* Get SAC rate down.

* Get back in the water more regularly, now that I'm back in Australia!
* Get my boyancy back to normal (post broken leg/ankle)
* Do my nitrox and Stress/Rescue certifications
* Dive Scapa Flow when we go to Scotland

Either get a good full time career job
And one of the 2:
- Purchase and start training with a 30cuft slung pony set up
- or set up some old Faber 75.8 doubles (I have the tanks already, just need the time and money)

OR

Break dive 250 by the end of the year. (I'm at 170!)

Hit 100 dives by years end. A lob trip in April will knock most of that out.

See my oldest(soon to be 10) get his jr ow next summer.

Improve my photography

Get pictures of at least 5 more nudi species in the sea of Cortez.

see more sharks, especially diving with schooling hammerheads.

Let's see Mine are following:

Staged Cave Diver Cert
CCR Deco Cert
Instructor Card
CCR Trimix

I think that should keep me pretty busy and poor for the new year.
