There is a light weight Les Paul now. I forget the exact name...but I got one for my son about two years ago. Plays the same.

That's what the PA is for. You don't need to KILL it on stage.Reggae Joe:I'm debating adding an extension cab to it too, for when we play bigger venues, but it projects really well regardless.

If you're stage volume is too loud... you can kill the mix.
Think of the sound guy
Seriously... You shouldn't need to add a cab. Monitors work fine. Very few bands that I have ever seen use remote speaker cabs, unless you want to be really freakin loud. Not even Government Mule (the loudest band I've ever worked with in my life) used remote cabsReggae Joe:Lol...we do our own sound, actually. We've got several PA rigs that we use depending on the size of where we're playing. I think my amp mic is starting to go, though, so I'll have to see what I can find at my local shop. I'd like to get either a Shure or Seinnheiser for it...they tend to have good signal capture.
An extension cab would be nice to give me a bit more presence, though, especially when we do outdoor shows or festivals. I'm not after a full-blown Marshall stack roar, thankfully...those wouldn't even fit in my car.
